Atlanta, Georgia
Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, the PulteGroup (parent company of Pulte Homes) is one of the largest home construction and real estate development companies in the United States, operating in 44 markets in 23 states.
For the Pulte Homes Los Angeles showroom, designers needed an enhanced solar shading solution that met company standards, ultimately choosing 3/16” aluminum Fabricoil® curtains in a Gun Metal Black finish. In a city that sees sunny skies 75 percent of the year, finding the right window treatment was a must.
Because it’s a showroom, PulteGroup wanted a material that allowed views into the space but also worked to mitigate the downside of too much sunlight entering the room. By using Fabricoil, a semi-transparent material, designers were able to harness the benefits of natural daylight (e.g. increased energy savings by minimizing electric light usage) all while reducing solar heat gain and strain on the air conditioning system.
For the PulteGroup showroom, the Fabricoil wire metal mesh system features Cascade’s operable Steel Secura Track engineered attachment, which allows staff to open the mesh curtains when the sun sets behind the far side of the building.
